THERAPEUTIC RATIONALE:
POSEX FORTE is a natural hemostatic with astringent ingredients like Acacia catechu (Khadir chhal), Mimosa pudica (Lajjalu), Symplocos Racemosa (Lodhra), Bombax Malabaricum (Shalmali). The other ingredients enhance the coagulatory properties of these main hemostatic agents. POSEX has wound healing property, too.

INDICATIONS

In Gynaecology
To decrease the severity and duration of menorrhagia and metrorrhagia.
Management of post-partum bleeding
To check to bleed associated with IUCD insertion or MTP procedures.
Management of premenopausal bleeding.
To prevent or check aggravation of bleeding from hemorrhoids during pregnancy.
In General Medicine/Surgery
Preoperative prophylaxis in minor surgery
Epistaxis
Haemoptysis
Haematuria
Haematemesis
Hemorrhoids

DOSAGE

2 capsules three times a day or 2 capsules every two hours, up to a maximum of 12 capsules in 24 hours, till bleeding stops. Pre-operatively: 2 capsules three times a day commencing two days prior to operation/ procedure, and continuing for further three days after the operation/procedure is over.

1) Apply gentle pressure, to immediately stop the oozing of blood

1) Do not get agitated or panic-stricken.
2) Avoid using unsterile material while stopping the bleeding
3) Do not introduce any sticks or any other objects to arrest bleeding
